Facebook Reels are a new way to create short, entertaining videos, get discovered by new audiences and be part of cultural moments on Facebook.
Effects and music can be added to your reel or use your own original audio, allowing you to bring your ideas to life and share them with your audience.

facebook reels on desktop
Facebook and Instagram’s parent company, Meta Platforms, is ALL IN on REELS! “Reels is now Meta’s fastest growing content format by far,” says Meta CEO, Mark Zuckerberg. And, of course short-form video is wildly popular on other social platforms as well (uh, TikTok! And, YouTube Shorts!).
Reels are up to 30 seconds on Facebook and up to 60 seconds on Instagram. Some users may see the ability to create and publish Facebook reels of up to 60 seconds as well. (Side note: just as soon as reels really ‘take off’ on Facebook, what’s the bets Meta will start to increase the length up to ten minutes to keep up with TikTok?
Check out this recent Facebook Live broadcast where I show quick and easy ways to make professional videos for Facebook and Instagram on DESKTOP using the powerful online video editing tool InVideo – from repurposed content you already have, as well as stock footage. And, no, you don’t have to be a professional dancer.
facebook reels not showing
Facebook Reels is now available for all Facebook users for over two weeks, but the Facebook Reels menu is not showing in the App for many. What does Facebook Reels option look like? Reels button will be visible on top besides Rooms, Groups and Live buttons. If you are among that multitude that wants to see Facebook Reels Menu in your app and use it, you are in the right place.
Facebook Reels is the same Reels in Instagram now ported to Facebook App, or you can call it a glorified tick tok right inside Facebook. Reels can make your video go viral. So, let's get started!
Now is the time for Reel's bonus
Let's explore Facebook Reels by posting our first ever Reel.
Tap on the Reels button on top, give the necessary permissions if you want to record from your phone camera. In my case, I'll use video from the gallery. The usual Tick Tok like effects is here, too, so feel free to explore.
You can enable or disable remixing - which means allowing or not allowing others to use your Reels.
You can also toggle between Stories Reels and Rooms on top of your Facebook app.
If you like a Reel, you can save it and view it in your Reels profile, where you can see all your published and saved Reels.
So that it! Do like, share and subscribe. Above all, keep keeping it real!
facebook reels payment
In July, we announced that we are investing over $1 billion in creators across Facebook and Instagram through 2022. Starting today, we are offering Reels Play – new bonus programs on Facebook and Instagram that allow you to earn money for the Reels you share.
Reels Play on Facebook will pay a bonus to eligible Facebook creators whose Reels get at least 1000 views over a 30-day period on Facebook. Reels from creators in the invite-only program must meet our content monetization policies and the content must be owned by the creator in order to count towards the bonus.
The Reels Play on Facebook bonus program is currently invite-only. Creators who are invited will be notified in the Facebook App and in Creator Studio and can sign up to learn more here.
The Reels Play on Instagram will pay eligible Instagram creators for Reels views on Instagram and Facebook. Creators who are eligible to participate in the Instagram Reels Play bonus will be alerted directly in their Professional Dashboard in the Instagram app.
